Tracking IPs?

How would one find out the IP address of someone who has sent them threatening emails?

Unless they used their own computer as a server [doubtful], there's no way that you can get their IP. Unless you wanted to be tricky and reply to them with an image in the email that logged their IP and sent it to you...but WinXP blocks that by default anyway.
