How do you get your ISP to unblock it?

Just a quick note to let you know that if anyone is using SBC Yahoo as a provider, you may Opt Out of their Port 25 blocking for your account. Just use This Page to contact them.
Thanks, Priest |

Wow thanks, kfunk. I had the exact same problem, except that I use the Thunderbird Mail app. by Mozilla. However by checking the secure authentication or SSL settings then you are allowed to send email. It was weird because it worked for like the first week of the account. Anyways these new setting change your outgoing port no. to 465 like Brad said.
I'd keep this topic bumped. And for all of you having Outlook trouble, take Thunderbird for a trial run. http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/ |

Does the SH76 server have port 26 open to bypass port 25 blocking? Also, are there any other ports available for sending mail authenticated from my email client software, like 465 or 587?
