Blackbeard the pirate........just an image I found on the net...I'm often called blackbeard..because I have one..though it's getting a little grey these days..rarely a pirate....because I own most of my software...unlike some I know..more often Kevin Cap.....because I nearly always wear a baseball cap to protect my nearly bald head from the sun....you wouldn't want a real picture...honest...it might give your server a chip attack, it's so frightening...

been involved in computers since an IBM XT landed on my desk way back in the 80's...everyday is a new adventure...always something new to learn or teach...one of these days I'll set up my own Internet server...research purposes only....you need not fear of competition....

For outgoing mail, use the same smtp server you used for your ISP. For me, I have road runner, so smtp-server.maine.rr.com works. Try searching your ISP's website for account setup details and it should be there.

As I said in my post of 08-05-2005, 10:18 AM I actually solved the problem myself by changing the port from 25 to 26. Now mail sends and recieves using standard in/out server server setting of mail.domain.tld.

If done as you suggested then only works when connected to road runner. Here in Thailand ISP's are up and down all the time so need to have a setting that works for more than one ISP thereby avoiding having to change all 30 of my emails accounts each time I change ISP....Now have it working on my ADSL and my 56K dial up backup without changing a thing......
