I would like to set this up but when I click the configure SA button my text boxes are labeled - required_score, rewrite_headersubject, whitelist_from, blacklist_from and 5 score boxes. Is my SA different from Big J's? Has SA changed since this was posted?

They upgraded SA a little while ago. Just fill in the values for:
"required_score" I have mine at "5"
"rewrite_header subject" I have mine at "****SPAM*****"
"skip_rbl_checks" "0"
"use_bayes" "1"
"use_dcc" "1"
"use_pyzor" "1"
"use_razor2" "1"

Then add email addys that you want to recieve in your "whitelist_from" and the email addys that you want to bounce in the "blacklist_from"

I hope that helps.

Thanks for the response... After I make the changes is the rest of Big John's post still valid? Meaning do the rest of the instructions work as they should or are there more changes to be made due to the upgrade.

NP. You might run into a problem w/ the SA db not working. I had the same problem and had to submit a trouble ticket to support. I posted in this thread about it. Other than that, everything was pretty much right on.

Edit:

Also you might run into a problem w/ "DB_File module" not being installed. I posted about this in the other "Spam Assassin" thread. I don't know why there is 2 of them. If you can find it, just do a search for "Spam Assassin"

Sry Bigjohn, not trying to say your tutorial was flawed. I greatly appreciate all the help and info you have given. I was just listing the issues I had when I was trying to install, non of which were your doing, it was just my server (Pass 6) didn't seem to be configured properly.

Once again, thx for all the help. The bayes script has help so much, I hardly get any more spam in my user emails.

No worries.
The tutorial was written for SA 1.6 or something like that. About 3/4 Cpanel upgrades back SA was upgraded to 3.0, which resulted in a few changed to what the user sees (the Cpanel SA configuration screens) and the SA database.
