I am trying to get my email [a secondary account I set up....not the default] and no matter what user name I set the account to [ie. user+mydomain.com, user, user
mydomain.com, etc] I cannot seem to login. Outlook tells me it is unable to logon to the mail server (POP3) Anyone know how to make this work? Thanks, sandersans

Nevermind....I finally got it to work. User error....I am a :cen: .
For those that happen to stumble onto this post here are some things to check to make sure you are configured properly. Email Accounts [set up in Outlook] 1. make sure your email address under user information is set to the user you are trying to dl mail from 2. your username if not the default email account should be username+yourdomain.com I kept getting the emails and usernames crossed so it wouldn't work for me. Like I said "User Error."

Yes the autoconfigure option is there but it is for outlook express. Maybe it doesn't make a difference. In either case everything works fine now.

Also, some might have to put their own SMTP server in, right? I use my cable companies setup with the POP3 info.
I had to go change that part just to send mail - is that normal?

MsCatEyes - yes that is normal. At home I have to set my smtp server to my ISP smtp server b/c they block port 25 which is the port used for smtp. At work they do not block the port so I can use mail.mydomainname.com
