It probably is a newbie question, but I am a newbie in this sort of stuff so I'm allowed to ask it :P
I have a file /mail/inbox Normally, that shouldn't be a problem, but this file is 50 MB big. Is that normal? And how can I make it smaller. It seems to be full of mails I received, but I'm not sure if I can just delete stuff in it without ruining it. Any help? thx and BTW :surpass:  |

Usually when you create mail accounts, you are provided the opportunity to create the mailbox size.
How to make it smaller? Hmm, that sounds like work. You can "Change Quota" in your cPanel for all of your mail accounts. |

whats happeneing is when you download your mail a copy is staying on the server.
The longer you wait the larger it will get. then your quota will fill up then you dont get any email. Heres what I tell my customers: 1 - Go into /webmail and delete it or 2 - create another pop3 account with same info be sure NOT to say "leave messages on server" then when it downloads the mail, its gone from the server then I tell them to check "remove from server after 10 days" does this help?
