You're going to have to ask tech support. Neither of those ports are setup by default. The default aulternative SMTP port for Surpass seems to be port 26. Getting 198 or 587 setup by support, seems to be a hit or miss matter, but you'll have to submit a ticket to ask either way.

a lack of usable alternate ports is what drove me away from shared hosting at surpass in the first place .. even though I still point VPS needing clients this way.
Reading this thread gave me some hope in getting things working again.. and 587 was a confirmed working port on my current host.. too bad nothing else was so nicely wrapped up. I did open a support ticket soon after I made the original post ... I can understand the desire to keep the number of open ports down, but opening up a couple far from standard ports helps out a lot, and current processes monitor bulk mail sending, so i can't imagine that doing this will see a large spam increase.. at least no more then someone using 25 /26
