Sender Verify Callouts?

Can someone explain this to me? Is this why I cannot receive mail from within my domain? Support is working on it but not explaining what is going on.

This appears to have been due to an anti-spam method known as sender verify callouts. These are very effective when they work; however, they can cause these errors occasionally and need to be disabled. I have disabled them for you - please let us know if you run in to any further issues.
thanks,
matt

Hello,
I will try and explain what "Sender Verify Callouts" are: it is where your email server validates the "senders email address" by opening up an SMTP session with the sending server listed in the MX record for that domain. Some servers block callouts which can cause problems because the recipient server assumes it is an invalid address and rejects the messages being sent to it. This is particularly common for big name email companies who have millions of users.
What problem specifically have you had with email on your server?
Regards
Jonathan

I have been having a problem with non RFC complaint servers as well that we need to get mail from as well.

Found a good fix on this site:
