Interesting topic. To answer the question, this is most likely caused by a catchall on your domain -- just disable it (use :fail: and not :blackhole and you should be fine.

Catchalls are a pain. Worst. Feature. Ever.

Totally agreed! I can see them as being useful only if you need to see where legitimate email is being delivered for a period of time, then setting up actual addresses for them so the catch-all can be removed.

If you need to receive email at a specific address... create that address!

It's just happened to me. I've got 3044 emails and at this time of the day (5pm) I ususally have not many more than 20. It's all spam from my email address.
