Prior to the installation of this new version of SA I had simple settings of;
Tag >3.9 Dump >9 (>6.5 was in reality the breakpoint but some thought it too strict) and after many thousands of emails I had only a couple missed (the prats who send badly formed mail either get the hint or lose business.) I did however have (for all customers as well) the subject re-written as "XX.X:Spamscore(>3.9): " so we could filter on the first 4 characters of the subject line, a really simple and effective method. Then someone downgraded SA to the latest version, overnight, all filters failed to do their job, even trying the examples shown in the CPanel SA page are wrong. I fail to see why we should need to go off, create and run extra programs to deal with spam just because the new version does not work, rather someone ought to revert or fix it. There is now a predetermined demi-god decision of what is spam and we (the customer) have no control, even to the point that forwarded mail is ignored (though I do wonder if that is a setting missed on installation.0 Using the old ****** for 6+ does not work and \+\+\+\+\+\+ 6+ is not consistent but I have found that Spam Score is above (#s only) 59 (5.9+) works but, the tagging and assigning of spam scores is totally farcical. Perhaps what I need to do is put in a ticket and hope someone can take a real look at the SA config on various servers.
