I'm having the same problem listed by the original poster. with the same email settings. I am using Outlook and did a test message that failed.
I then switched the STMP port from 25 to 26. The test message was successful and 1 out of the 3 emails that were sitting in my Outbox was sent, but the other two stayed there. Since then, the test message is successful but I keep getting an error message and none of the emails are sent. I am receiving messages just fine, just can't send anything. Also, as far as I know, the other email accounts for this domain are functioning properly. This happened out of the blue, after months with no problems. This is a business account and it is very important that we get this resolved! My domain name is weedsandwildflowersdesign.com. Thanks!! |

I am having this same issue.
I use Outlook Express for my e-mail and I have two domains. The domain that is hosted on PIPE is fine but the domain that is hosted on SAPRUS is able to receive but not send. I realize that SAPRUS was being restored early Saturday but this started happening on Thursday and is still doing it today. I recently switched from cable modem to DSL and changed my ports from 25 to 26 and that worked fine for both domains but now I am unable to send from the one domain without having changed anything myself. I have tried different ports (587 and 465) and different settings but still can not send. Any tips on things I can try would be most appreciated. Thanks! PS. I run Zone Alarm and AVG so if there is anything I should check on them please advise. I am not sure if an auto-update on either could be the cause, I guess if both domains were having the same problem maybe but since they are not I don't think they would be part of the problem.

*Update* I finally found something that works. If I use port 465 and check the box for "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" then it will send my mail. It gave me a warning message about the certificate on the server not matching or something (I didn't memorize it and now I can't get it back) so I clicked OK and now all of my test messages are sending fine. I still would like to know what is going on and if my mail is *safe* this way. I am guessing it is a Saprus issue since my other domain with the exact same settings is still using them just fine without changing to the 465.
