Where do I set aging ?

Hi,

I can't seem to find the aging setting for my email accounts, could someone please guide me to it (I already did a forum search without any luck) ? From what I understand it should be located on the "Email Accounts" page where I can view usage, change quota and such but it's not there

What do you mean exactly by aging?

If you mean that you want to keep your email on our server for a certain amount of time, that is set inside of your chosen email program.

Let us know more details on your question. Thank you for joining the forum.

I found this in the cPanel Forums:

"If you search you'll find that the feature is dropped some time ago when you go to maildir as it's not a feature of courier-imap. cPanel could do it before because they coded cppop. You'll have to write a script to purge your maildir folders if you want to do it now." :-(

I meant that I would like to be able to use the webmail function and read all mail that's newer than say 2 weeks (older mail should be deleted automatically). I have a Exchange server that's using the POP3 connector to retrieve mail and the clients use Outlook to connect to the Exchange server but I would like people to be able to use the webmail when they're not at the office. Any ideas on how to accomplish this ?

Why not just have everyone use IMAP at the office and at home? It sounds easier to me than aging settings/scripts/etc.

I'm not sure that would help me, the reason I want the mail to be automatically deleted after a certain time period is that otherwise the mail accounts will exceed the quotas rather quickly and I'll have to manually delete old mail.

You can set email to delete from the server after a certain period with IMAP.
