SPF Setup In CPanel
I just noticed the E-Mail authentication options in CPanel. I have enabled Domain Keys which works great. However I am a bit confused as to how to setup the SPF stuff. Is there a tutorial out there that goes into this? It seems all of the options are there to do this corectly, I just do not want to put the wrong addresses in, or some other ungodly act. Thanks.

Are you running your email directly on our servers, or are you using a service like Google Apps that requires you to change MX records?

You should be able to generate the SPF record without modifying any of the fields, since you don't have any other hosts that send email on your behalf.
The SPF record should end up looking like this: "v=spf1 a mx ~all"

I assume when you say that, I could essentially just click "Enable" with CPanel and it should complete this on its own? When I do that, I get the message: "SPF has been enabled. Your raw SPF record is :" When i return to the main e-mail authentication screen, it shows SPF as still disabled. |

That's weird. When I click "Enable", I see this:
======== SPF has been enabled. Your raw SPF record is : v=spf1 a mx ?all ======== Which domain are you trying to add SPF records for? Feel free to list all domains you want added and I'll add records for you manually.

I have the same problem but with a twist. Google Apps is now currently serving my emails. Is there a way that I can still use SPF records? Kelvin Quee |

Hi Removed and KWright,
If it'll still look like Removed's example, what are the differences? I guess I must input "Google" somewhere, right? Sorry that I'm asking such simple questions. I couldn't find the answers anywhere else. I guess I'm looking at all the wrong places! Kelvin |
