Hi,
Yahoo Mail is dropping emails sent from Surpass servers (Pass78). The mails are dropped - meaning they do no appear in Spam folders nor are there any returned mails. Is there a way out of this? BTW, I've already setup SPF. Kelvinq |

How are they dropping exactly? Can you post a copy of the bounce message?

Hi Removed,
Thanks for the prompt response. There're no replies, returned mails nor are there any bounces. Which means I will not be able to provide any information about bounces! ![]() Kelvinq |

That's weird. Can you submit a ticket about this so that Support can take a look? They should be able to locate the reason in the server's mail logs.

I've been hearing about Yahoo giving various hosts trouble for the last two months. They are either dropping the emails or delaying them for days. One of my accounts says she is experiencing dropped emails from yahoo.
Here's a copy of one that was delayed recently from an account on pass78. It was sent on the first and this was received on the third. Still don't know if it went through. This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent has not yet been delivered to one or more of its recipients after more than 48 hours on the queue on pass78.dizinc.com. The message identifier is: 1JglXJ-0002y6-Tf The date of the message is: Tue, 01 Apr 2008 13:48:33 -0500 The subject of the message is: Re: The Bully and the Bear- Highlights post for tomorrow (Tuesday). The address to which the message has not yet been delivered is: [deleted for privacy] yahoo.comDelay reason: SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection: host g.mx.mail.yahoo.com [206.190.53.191]: 421 Message from (66.7.212.189) temporarily deferred - 4.16.50. Please refer to 421 Message temporarily deferred - [numeric code] - Mail No action is required on your part. Delivery attempts will continue for some time, and this warning may be repeated at intervals if the message remains undelivered. Eventually the mail delivery software will give up, and when that happens, the message will be returned to you.

You might want to check your account's main email address, the one that matches your username. I found out that this is usually where bounced email messages go and not necessarily to the email address you sent the email from... if the email was sent from a PHP script on your site for example that is using the standard mail() function.
