comcast.net mailservers

Anyone else getting bounced back emails from comcast.net?

Having issues with them not resolving my reverse dns.

Connecting to mx1.comcast.net [76.96.62.116]:25 ... connected
SMTP<< 421 IMTA20.westchester.pa.mail.comcast.net comcast Reverse DNS failure : Try again later
SMTP>> QUIT
My mailserver (mail.mailmovers.net) PTR record reverses everywhere I try.

Tech support has already looked into it and says its a comcast issue which I don't doubt, just looking to see if its happening to anyone else.

Just as a side note, aol.com takes my emails fine and correctly resolves my mailserver.

is this you (your personal computer) trying to send via comcast? That is definately comcasts problem then.

If it's a server trying, I have no idea... it would be perhaps a DNS table error (which could be comcast problem OR surpass) that has the lookup failing.

Do a DNS report on your server... make sure that all the DNS stuff is working. CHECKDNS.NET is a good free site.

I have the same problem on my server, pine.arvadaweb.com. Started a couple of days ago. Have been pulling hair. Only comcast seems to be asking for reverse lookup.

Could be because of this:

Can someone follow up. I am on the road.

thanks for posting cowboy, I knew I couldn't be the only one this was happening to.

The timeframe fits with the dns cluster going down and the time I started having the issue.

I am experiencing the same problem this week on a server outside Surpass. What hair I have left is now completely gone. This must be a Comcast issue! Anyone have any ideas?
