I received an email from HP.com and they asked me to reply.
I replied using my Surpass email account. The reply bounced back to me. WHen I sent the email again from my HOTMAIL account and from my GMAIL account, the email did not bounce back to me. Here is the error message that I get from Surpass email: A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: cto-esc.hpshopping2@hp.com SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<cto-esc.hpshopping2@hp.com>: host smtp.hp.com [15.201.24.91]: 554 5.7.1 <sh107.surpasshosting.com[66.7.192.103]>: Client host rejected: Access denied So is there some rule that Surpass has turned on that Gmail and Hotmail do not? Or is it that my mail server at Surpass is being blocked by HP? If so, can you get it ublocked? I would like to just be able to respond to emails and have them go through, of course. Thank you. |

You would probably get a faster response by submitting this at the helpdesk. http://desk.surpasshosting.com

Surpass 3rd Level Support asked me to ask HP why they are blocking email coming from the Surpass SH107 server.
In order to help out, I have asked, but I only have access to the tech support department. I'm not a client of HP email. If you are a Surpass customer on SH107 using email, you currently cannot send emails to HP.com. Surpass and I don't know why but Surpass has asked me to find out on our mutual behalf. |

Well, not faster, but Surpass support says that it has now opened up a new IP for the server to workaround the fact that HP was blocking the original Surpass IP. I have sent 1 test email to HP to see if it will bounce. Change was made May 7 and case was opened on Apr 24.
