I should (and will) make a correction. I have a domain that I had problems with many many months ago that would seem allow me to download mail. I setup a forwarder as a temporary solution to that problem. This thread brings this back to my attention.

Since I am not at my home computer now, I can't test it now. I can logon just fine with webmail to that account.

Perhaps if we collaborate, we might find a solution.

My username on that account is four characters that are all letters. How many characters is yours?

Yeah, this one does have us baffled quite a bit. Usually the problem is you can't send, but you can receive.

Snide,

I am all for you trying to help out here. Cause I don't have an apple machine to work with on this issue. I do want to note, this account the problem is occurring on is not the main account, so it will require the full email addy for the login. I got screenshots from Q04 and the setup looks fine. However, the last email posted in support about this mentioned an error name of "cannot find account 'would'" which is what is setup as the Real/Full name, and not the account. But the IMAP does work with the same settings I am assuming.

:crazycrazy:

Q04 did not mention that this was an additional account on the account. I just wanted to cover all the possibilities for "account username" login. That way the next (even non-Mac) person with email issues could try it both ways.

beerman,

What are the settings for min or max username length?

The solution, tried an true at an ISP ran by Mac servers that I used to work for:

Put the IP of the server as the incoming and outgoing mail servers.

If it doesn't work, then I throw in the digital towel.

Actually, in this case, the solution was to upgrade the mail client.

Everything worked after that.. Or at least that is what the ticket said.

Hi, all

i've seen the same problem on one of our account, but after an upgrade of Mail.app all is fine. (we expect a problem with a masked cache for Mail.app)

Mail.app is now at 1.3.3 (v612), and after testing, all is ok with accounts hosted by Surpass
with + or % (personnaly i use % cause it work also with eudora)

Hope this help

If you use the latest version available for 10.2.8 it works.

That would be 1.2.5 (v553)

Q04

Guess I was a bit premature, everything that was working stopped at around noon today.
