Email client not logging on mail server
Hi,
I am trying to make my e-mail address work with Microsoft Outlook 2008 and I can't find a solution. I'm configuring it manually with the following settings: Name: Josef Orland E-mail: josef orlandev.comIncoming Mail server: mail.orlandev.com Outgoing Mail server: mail.orlandev.com User Name: josef orlandev.com OR josef+orlandev.com (none of them worked)Password: tryandguessit:p In the More Settings under the Outgoing Server tab I have ticked 'My outgoing server requires authentication' using the same settings as my incoming mail server and in the Advanced tab I have the Outgoing SMTP server set to 26 When I click the Test Account Settings I get the following errors: - Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): Cannot find the e-mail server. Verify the server information in your account properties. - Send test e-mail message: Cannot find the e-mail server. Verify the server information in your account properties. Am I missing something? |

Can you try it again now? We had some power issues earlier, so you may have been trying to connect to the server while it was down.

Looks like there may be a DNS problem:
~~~ $ host mail.orlandev.com Host mail.orlandev.com not found: 3(NXDOMAIN) ~~~ Please submit a ticket -- Support should be able to look into this and get it fixed for you. ![]()
