SpamAssassin + User Level Filtering not working together
Either I don't understand something or else something is broken.
I have enabled SpamAssassin via CPanel. I set the Score to 5. I enabled Auto-Delete Spam. I still get emails with the body beginning with this: "Spam detection software, running on the system "sh142.surpasshosting.com", has identified this incoming email as possible spam. The original message has been attached to this so you can view it (if it isn't spam) or label similar future email. If you have any questions, see y for details. Content preview: ... Content analysis details: (22.2 points, 5.0 required)" So, I went to my User Level Filtering for my email account. I made and enabled a new filter following the directions at the bottom of the screen: "Hint:To filter all mail that SpamAssassin has marked as with a spam score of 5.0 or greater then choose "Spam Bar", "contains", and then enter "+++++" in the box. (Note: if you wanted match a spam score of 4, you would use ++++. A spam score of three would be +++, etc.)" I did that and set it to "Discard" for action. No good. I still receive emails with the body as shown above. So, I go back into my User Level Filtering for my email account. I made and enabled another new filter following the directions at the bottom of the screen: "Hint:To filter all mail that SpamAssassin has marked as spam, just choose "Spam Status", "begins with", and then enter "Yes" in the box." I did that and set it to "Discard" for action. No good still. I still receive emails with the body as shown above. What's wrong here? I just want to be able to set my Score level and not receive anything with a score higher than that. I'm I doing something wrong, or are my filters being ignored somehow?

Well, what I'm saying is my filters are being ignored. SpamAssassin is doing its job by adding
"Spam detection software, running on the system "sh142.surpasshosting.com", has identified this incoming email as possible spam. The original message has been attached to this so you can view it (if it isn't spam) or label similar future email. If you have any questions, see y for details. Content preview: ... Content analysis details: (22.2 points, 5.0 required)" to the beginning of spam messages, but I can't make anything, SpamAssassin NOR any email filters automatically delete those emails before going to my inbox. Any ideas?

Well, I set up my filters on the Account level and I believe they are working now. I don't understand why it would make any difference, wouldn't a filter on the Account level do the exact same thing on a User level?

I am not sure if this is anything to do with your particular issue but, SpamAssassin does not seem to check or deal with mail which has been re-directed or forwarded to an account.
So, if you have a domain [A] which forwards email to another domain/mail account [b] with spamassassin enabled on it, spamassassin will check and deal with mail directly to do with domain and accounts [b] but will ignore mail forwarded from [A].

Well, what I did was create an email address for one of my add-on domains. So in a way that's similar to what you're saying.
SpamAssassin would add to the body of the emails like it was supposed to do, but I couldn't filter anything on the User level with regards to those additions. I tried adding the same filters to the Account level yesterday and they are working perfectly (I think).
