Question Unable to send email today, odd error

All of a sudden today I cannot send email out using my smtp server for my domain.

I have my email set up to use my smtp server (mail.mydomain.com) and use port 26. I have had this set up for over a year and it has worked fine.

About 2 or three months ago I enabled the "email authentication" features for the domain in cpanel. Again, I have had no problem sending email with the same settings for that past three months since this has been activated.

Now today I went to send an email and I got an error upon sending that said roughly something like:
Code:
SMTP server mail.mydomain.com did not accept mail recipient (email address I was sending to)
The error was 550- junk mail rejected - ip(myipaddress)(myhomeispdomain)mypclanname
550-[myipaddress] is in an RBL, see 550 http://www.spamhaus.org/query/bl?ip=myipaddress
That's what I get. Of course (myipaddress) has my home IP address and (emailaddress I was sending to) has the email address of the person I was sending to, but this happens regardless who I send to. An mypclanname oddly is the name of my PC on my home LAN.

So why am I being blocked from sending email out? Could it be because of the authentication? Even though I activated that three months ago? Do I have ot enter the IP address of my home in cpanel?

Or is my home IP address blacklisted?

Interesting. No one knows anything about this huh? Not even staff? Weird.

Well in case this is affecting anyone else ... I went to "http://www.spamhaus.org/query/bl?ip=myipaddress" and it said that my IP address had been listed on some kind of list and that I needed to set my email program to do a "server authentication" before sending. I never needed this before. I enabled it and now I can send email.

So what changed? I'm guessing something changed here on the server today or yesterday. Any ideas?

Have you created a ticket with support?

Fill out a support ticket? Why?
Since I can send mail then it is not really broken. Since it is not really broken then there is no need to fill out a support ticket.

That is the great thing about these user to user forums. For users to communicate with each other about things without bothering support. Afterward, if users feel that they are not able to get the information they need they can fill out a support ticket if need be.

This is just a curious behavior so I was trying to find out if something changed. If so then I might have to change some settings on all my domains.

Why? Did you notice something too?
