Sending bulk email

Hi,

I'm a reseller here.

I would like to (as a one-off) send an HTML email out to everyone who's ever sent me an email (1000's). I can do the design and host the images on my server. But I don't have any experience of handling the mailing list, ensuring the mails won't be labeled as spam and organizing the Unsubscribes, etc.

Also I would like to send an email to everyone who has signed up for the email updates from my blog (only c. 100). I could do this from my own email client from my home desktop but, again, maybe it would be better to use some sort of emailing service here.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I believe most mailing list software has a throttle setting built in that will prevent your emails from overloading the server, which limits you to 300 (or 350, I forget) emails per domian, per hour.

As far as preventing them as being seen as spam, I don't have a lot of experience with that, but I do recall a single line of PHP that you can add to form mail scripts to help prevent it, something to do with the date. Someone with more experience will need to input on the spam end of it.

see the SEND product.

You can only send to 'opt in'
And I would not use your SERVER, since you could end up getting the entire server marked as a spammer...

to add on to what Fury said, the limit is in fact 350 per hour per domain.

Hi jayv007, I've been really busy with work so I've put this project on the back burner. I'll probably sign up to a service like Aweber because a lot of people use them and they're quite cheap.
