Broken Webmail?

Many people have been emailing support about this, so I felt it deserved its own announcement in case someone comes here looking for the answer.

Microsoft recently made changes to Internet Explorer that no longer allow a certain URL format. http://userdomain.com:domain.com/ for example. This was because of an exploit many scammers were taking advantage of, and instead of fixing the problem, its easier to shut it off. There is no way to enable this format in your browser after you have updated as far as I know.

If you login to your Cpanel, then goto the Mail section and Add/Remove Accounts, there is a link "Read Webmail". This link will not work any longer for updated versions of Internet Explorer (Netscape seems to have this problem recently, too) because of the format of the link.

You now have only one way to access the webmail for your subaccounts. Use http://yourdomain.com:2095/ Of course, please replace the yourdomain.com with your actual domain. Once there, make sure to enter the FULL email address as the login name, not just user, unless it is your main Cpanel account's email you are checking.

Also, if you want to skip the selection screen and go straight to a particular webmail client, the following links will work in the same way:

Neomail:
http://yourdomain.com:2095/neomail/neomail.pl

Horde:
http://yourdomain.com:2095/horde/index.php

SquirrelMail:
http://yourdomain.com:2095/3rdparty/...mail/index.php

Enjoy!

Is it possible to use a subdomain to send someone straight to the squirrelmail login (bypassing cpanel)? Some of my friends want emails through my domain (thinktwisted.com) and I want them to be able to just enter mail.thinktwisted.com and have them sent to a squirrelmail login without them having to mess with cpanel.

Thanks,
John

I think what the post above is saying is to access Squirrelmail, you'd have to use the following url:

http://www.thinktwisted.com:2095/3rd...rc/webmail/php

When entering your login you have to use your whole e-mail address:

webmaster(at)thinktwisted.com

hope that helps.

Can't figure out why, but the data after:2095 should read like this:
3rdparty/squirrelmail/src/webmail.php

It was there when I posted the url, but edited later. Hopefully this will post properly.

Email Showing CPanel

I do not want the account holders to see the CPANEL logo on the server when I go to http://clientsite.com:2095/3rdparty/...rc/webmail.php and http://clientsite.com:2095/neomail/neomail.pl.I have solved this problem with horde by using a redirect to a folder containing hbridge: http://www.nnexxezz.com/hbridge (which is an awesome solution that I highly recommend) but now that it http://clientsite.com:2095 or http://clientsite.com/webmail goes straight to screen showing the cpanel logo(for), I really need a solution for Squirellmail and NeoMail fast!
Any ideas are definitely welcome
