Hi!
Hi. I'm new to surpass. I havent got my account up and running yet still waiting on paypal to send thier confirmation pennies to my bank so i cna get it rolling to order, but in the meantime i thought i would introduce myself and maybe make a couple friends...
i went to college for computer informations sciences and ive learned the basics. but just the basics. a lot of the forums discussions are over my head. ive neve rhad a domain of my own only subdomains, so i do know how to manage web pages, i have had soem experience with mysql and php and crontab even. ive used most of the applications. i am a little overwhelmed but i love challenges so we will so how i handle things... i have a million and one questions, and i see some of em mirrored by others but im not seeing the answers to my exact questions... is there any place i can find mor ebasic instructions on setting up a domain, starting the reseller stuff? #1 question fo the day, do i have to treat the reseller account as a business? as in seperate records from personal and all that? if anyone wants to contact me to give me a hand please do so, i would appreciate it bigtime... part of my site i would like to host a php based game called promisance along with forums, in addition to a promisance portal. have a family hub with picture galleries and hunting club pictures for some family members. in addition using my reseller account i was going to host clan sites free and help develope and bring more players to the online gaming community of promisance. if anyone has any ideas i would be grateful for thier input... good to meet you all! |

Welcome to Surpass! Hope you will have a wonderful time here!
To answer your questions, no, you don't have to use your reseller accounts for 'Business' purpose only. Like I do right now, I have a reseller hosting package, but I do not offer any hosting services. I just manage my different site. (Some personal, and some not). The best place to learn something is by playing around with different stuff. You have cPanel here (as well as WHM in your case), so just login, and install/touch everything you see there, and see what each function does. Now if really in doubt or not sure if it's going to mess up something big, you can always ask us on this forums, or the techies over at the helpdesk. Welcome to this site again, and I wish you a wonderful time and experience for the many years to come! |

im very glad to see an active forums and thanks for the great welcome!
i will share what i learn with the community as much as i can, ėspecially as i would want someone to share with me if i didnt know... anyone here is welcome to add my AIM instant messenger contact at anytime and chat with me. fenash2005 im going to really stretch myself as i got hosting at a different vendor (shared ) and im still getting the bronze reseller package here... can i handle two domains? bet i learn really fast! ive had some experience with cpanel with various subdomains (bravenet and 0pays) so i wont be lost there at least. ive doen a lot fo research for domain configuration so that will be a snap as well... im hoping the extensions of my commercial web site developer ( .vnu ) will be supported, im assuming it will be. |
