Hello! Another newbie to Surpass

Hello everyone! I'm Cat, a college student who will be graduating next month with a degree in Computer Science. I recenty decided that I love User Interface design and implementation, so I've accepted an offer with a start-up company to do the UI for their software. I also design the UI and web design for NoteMesh.

Anyway, after trying 3-4 different hosts over the past 5 years, I found my way to Surpass, which I hope will be the last move. So far, I'm liking it =)

just curious.. what if the smartest person decides to be a Saboteur... because really ... the only people who want to share notes are the people that don't want to do the studying themselves...

Then... all the doodoo heads who didn't want to study will all now fail. YAY!

I am just pointing out the obvious. I agree they have good intentions... I was just wondering if there were any "measures" in place to prevent/hinder that sort of thing from happening. Take a chill pill.

Yes, that's always a possible problem, especially since we can't possibly admin all of the notes posted. We have to trust users to catch these people and report abuse so that we can ban them. All users are also able to go back to a previous version of the notes since the history is kept, so if someone decides to sabotage and change the notes, it's easy to get the correct version back.

The idea is to try and get your whole class to participate, so hopefully, if the information is incorrect, someone would realize and fix it.

I don't mind it, really. We have both good and bad reviews/articles posted about us around the web. The criticism often helps
