I'm Edwin, I'm a 37 year young Dutch male. I'm working part-time for a Travel-advice Desk for people with a handicap.

I'm here because Rai told me to come over here. I myself have no site hostes at surpasshosting, but I help maintain a site that is (www.slyth.org.uk).

We moved here about two weeks ago, after getting really <beeped> at our host then. It was cheap, so we could have known that it could give problems some day. And it did. All of a sudden our site wasn't reachble anymore (after looking into it, we learned that the host was taken over by another, who then couldn't pay for it's connections. So we switched to the new company that was run by the same person as we were before, only to be off-line for 22 hours one time, and no notes or whatever from they guys.

So, after much looking around we finally found surpass, and now we are going to stay *nods*

And yes, I did tell him to come. More precisely I threatened him with.. something.. Err.. *stares blankely*

Gah! The downtime you had must have been terrible. I remember my days under the host I've named so much that no one should use them....we were down for whole weekends at a time. People posted in my blog (which was hosted elsewhere at the time) about the terrible experience they have had with the same host. I moved from them to Surpass after going through a list of about 5 or 6 other possible providers. Surpass looked the best out of all of them, and has proven to be a wise investment. I'm sure you'll find that it will be for you as well.

Yes, we really hated the downtime on that host. The bad part is, we had just set our forum up again (always make a backup of that btw) when the outage happend. It was a pain to reset it up again, but now we are glad it works

I had a horrible host at one point, but I think we've all gone through that at one point or another... remember something "live and learn". That's just part of life, it's all about trial and error. Surpass is great, I am glad you guys moved here... enjoy and welcome

:p I got a hosting nightmare. Before I signed up at Surpass I was hosted on my brother's server.. It was housed in his friends apartment and my brother built it. Well, his friend got pissed one day and took down the server. Leaving me and my brother's websites out in the cold. It took two months of down time before my brother told me to just find another server because he had no clue when he was gonna get it back.
