Is it just me or are updates for things like phpBB and WordPress coming more frequently? People need to stop spending their lives working at destroying good things.

But regardless, I think that it's important for people to understand how vulnerable software can be when it's not updated properly. It's just like leaving your computer vulnerable by not updating your virus definitions...you're just asking for people to come and exploit it all.

Anyoo, I personally don't run phpBB, but a reseller of mine does and I made sure she was properly updated within 24 hours of this release.

I can log into any random server and see about 20 installs of phpBB 2.0.6 Then about 50 more installs with random versions, perhaps one in the bunch is 2.0.15 ...

Thank you for getting the word out.

When will 2.0.16 be available in cPanel? It's only offering to let me update to 2.0.15 right now, and that is also the version that Fantastico installs for new installations.

I will check and see that Fantastico is updated. I think phpBB was the latest program to have an update of any kind.

What is your domain name or server name?

Same question - When will 2.0.16 be available in cPanel?

Well, phpBB is used by alot of people same with wordpress, it's just like how people target internet explorer, they pick on the thing most people are using.

Some people attack scripts to help make the thing more secure, but that probaly isn't the case...

I run my own stuff, I hope it doesn't have any holes or bugs...

Domain tzs.net on pass12. 2.0.15 is the latest showing up both in the "Bulleting Boards" thingy in cPanel, and in Fantastico.

I am now running a Fantastico update on all servers again. Doing a manual update for your servers (tzs and Artur).

If anyone else still sees the old version within the next hour, let us know here in this thread.
