Invision Board 1.3 Final security holes?
I was wondering if there are any known security holes in Invision Board 1.3 Final, and if so:
1. What can happen if they are not fixed? 2. Is there anyway to fix them (without registering for Pro)? Thank you ![]() Edit: Sorry, I meant to post this in the PHP/MySQL forum but can't seem to delete it... Last edited by michelle; October 14th, 2005 at 10:02 PM.. |

You need to check with the Invision Powered Services company. Their forum has updates that allow you to fix things, but of course they recommend buying the newest version due to the fixes and updates.
If someone has found exploits and fixed them, they may be out there on the web but you'll just have to look for them. Try at http://www.invisionize.com or the IPS site http://forums.invisionpower.com/ for more on that. If there are exploits that are not fixed, you can have your board attacked by script kiddies who like to think they are hackers and attack known holes in software. This could range from just taking your board down to taking your site down. |
