Untar .tar.gz files
I could not find a general question catagory so I thought this is the closest place to put this Q.
Is it possible to untar .tar.gz files using a php (or similar script)? I am on dialup and am going to upgrade a couple of things I use and I am not looking forward to uploading 10+megs of files at 3KBps so anything like this would be a great help ![]() |

I know you can upload a zip file to your site and have file manager unzip it for you. I tried with a tar file once, but it didn't work so I haven't tried again.
