Connection Info
I recently started using a program that needs to connect to an SQL database. I normally just use "localhost" but since this problem is run from my computer, DL info from a gaming server and uploading it to my website, it needs to connect to my DB. Any ideas on what I should use as my connection address?? Thanks in advance!

So you need for a gaming server to connect your own server here? You can use the remote MySQL feature in cPanel. You just need the host name or wildcard number. If this is not what you mean, then I am not quite sure and would highly suggest submitting a ticket to the help desk. =)

That's exactly what I was wondering, but the program is being generated from my local machine, not my gameserver, so we're on the right page, I just don't what domain to put.

Quote:
in cPanel - you would need up to update remote SQL access with the IP of your home computer. Not sure of your IP (especially if you are NAT'd behind a router)? got to My IP is 66.7.194.148 - Quick and Easy way to SEE my IP address - CmyIP.com Then, you need to set your local PC to use access your mySQL at your domain. Whatever domain your database is hosted on. Make sure you use the proper database name, username, password. That should do it.
