Pointing to the database?

I am setting up a Joomla install and uploading a database. I am not at all familiar with the file structure and need to know how to point the config file to the location of the database?

Talking Solved

Yes I used phpmyadmin to import my database. The problem was not that, it was getting the config file to point to the location of the database. Which is '/home/mysite/public_html/logs'.

Sometimes to just slow down and think in logical terms is the best way. I have waited for 11 days for 1and1 to release my domain. Got frustrated...
