I'm trying to import a skin on my new Invision board. I've uploaded the skin to the archive_in directory, set CHMOD to 777, but when I import it tells me that the CHMOD is wrong. I searched the net, and found a link to a patch that is supposed to fix this problem. I downloaded and uploaded the patch, and the skin STILL won't work.
The problem could be in the patch, the site didn't tell me how to upload it (Binary?) and what to set the CHMOD to (I checked the CHMOD of the surrounding files and let it be the same as those). Anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know what I can do to fix it? Thanks! |

What version of IPB are you running?
It may be that you haven't CHMODed the Skins folder, which is where the .tar file of the skin is extracted. If you haven't, CHMOD Skins to 777 (all the folders in the root dir of your folder should have been CHMOD 777 before installation). Quote:

The Skin folder was already at 777., but I re-CHMODed it anyway, just in case... the skins still won't work. Oh well. :P |
