MySQL Problems

I get the following error when trying to access phpMyAdmin:

Welcome to phpMyAdmin 2.5.2


Wrong username/password. Access denied.

That was working just yesterday.

When I login to cPanel it gives the following error messages with regards to the MySQL server:

DBI connect('mysql:localhost','root',...) failed: Too many connections at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Mysql.pm line 42 ERROR 1040: Too many connections 0 / unlimited

and when trying to use the "MySQL Databases" link from the cPanel I get the following error:
