restore a database

Hi , i had a backup file from a database.., *.sql

and i need to restore it whit PhpMyAdmin..can anyone tell me how?

In PhpMyAdmin select the database you want to restore, click on the sql tab and copy the contents from your file to the sql window. Then hit go.

it doesnt show me the database i want to restore..

the file *.sql is in the public_html carpet

Then you need to create the database through the control panel and then do what I mentioned above or you could download the file to your local computer and go to the sql screen and tell PhpMyAdmin where to find it.
