thinking about bout it but tight on Cash...

Hi, I got a bunch of website right now and I'm planning to move intot a dedicated with another friend that has a bunch of sites but we want to make totally sure what we are getting into first.

-as with the cpanel you state that its $35 per a month, then you say its $75-$100 on cpanel.net. so does this mean we can just pay $100 so we won't have to pay the $35 monthly anymore?

-also will the cpanel and other software like fantastico be updated by you whenever there are new updates?

-if i wanted to upgrade the bandwidth in the future what packages are available besides paying .40 per GB when you go over.

what other upgrade options are available? i kno a friend that just got a dedicated from you guys and he had the extra option of upgrading to a 100mbit line. how much is that?

thanks,
pat

No, if you bought it via cPanel and not Surpass its going to cost you $75-100 instead of 35.

Well 1200 gigs is alot, I'm pretty sure that you won't need to buy "extra" bandwidth.

yea i kno the cpanel would cost 75-100, but thats a one time fee if you buy it directly from them. As with you guys you say its 35$ a month. so after 3 months we would have paid $105.. when does that fee stop.

ductxtales, i'd check out cpanel.net before you believe what you're saying...

one time licensing fee for cpanel is $1250.00.

One year Cpanel license - $450
Surpass, one year = $35 x 12 = $420

Not much of a discount, I think the price for cpanel should be lowered to maybe $25 or $30. Many other hosting companies charged a considerably lower fee for cpanel. Even though the BASE prices for the dedicated are low, the upgrade fees are on the high side.

Actually it's 30 a month here, as seen on the bottom of the colo page, http://www.surpasshosting.com/colocation.php

Thanks for pointing out that it still reads 35 on the other pages.
