All sites are still not working. Support is working on this issue, almost 2 hours down

I concur with teq. My server never went down, just the line had some bad latency. It seems to be fixed now.

A little note to the forum admins; I sent a support ticket about this issue but apparently it was never received on your end.

I am not sure what you mean by carrier link broken

if a fiber cable was really broken you couldn't even ping or trace your ip

I don't know much about networking but isn't when I run traceroute the server pings each of the hops? Why would the server take 200ms from alter.net (2nd hop) to the server if it is a problem with ufl.edu?

The problem has been fixed for a while now; I just want to understand in case this happens again.
