Apf/ad/bfd

Ok, I installed this back in December on my dedi and I know the status command but when I use it, it just gives me a log file that I have to scroll through. Is this normal? I see in the log file where the firewall gets initiated every few minutes. Shouldn't to always be on? I have looked in WHM in the current running processes and I cant tell that it is running unless it is under a different name. I know it has to be working somewhat because I had to open ports to get some of my programs to work but I am still not sure.

Also, I only know how to check the status of APF. Is there a status checker for AD and BFD or are they all in the same program?

If you installed APF, etc. back in December, then there is a new version. You should consider installing it.

Aric,

Thanks for the heads up. It took me a while to figure out which version I had installed and even longer to find out the currecnt version. I did have an older version and I have upgraded. I copied my ports to the new conf file but as I was looking, the config file never changed, unless I missed something. I guess there was no config changes with this update.

Everytime I start or restart APF, I always get this message and never a confimation that it started or the two OKs that it restarted.

lsmod: QM_MODULES: Function not implemented

Is this normal? I searched on the R-fx Pubilc Forums and other people have gotten this error too but nobody has given a fix or answer for it.

Is it better to upgrade to the latest version? I'm not sure how to upgrade, support did it for me.

See my directions. You can just follow the "cut 'n' paste directions. For most servers it works just fine as-is, once you set monokern=1, but you may want/need to open other ports if you use any non-standard ones. Or, contact support again.

Yes, the QM_modules warning is normal for kernels with LKM support disabled. There is nothing wrong.

Regards,

Aric
