What would you get? My cousin and I are looking into this and I'm wondering what some of you use, and what you would recommend to start out with.

Note: This is in regards to the dedicated servers page. We are also looking at colocation as well, but probably won't go that route.

Well, depends on how many customers you have lined up to start with.

but I'd go with the Xeon processor based system.

If you're going to have just the one server to start with, you'd be best served to start out with the thing fully configured. You don't want to force downtime on your customers to get the thing upgraded.

BigJohn is right. In December I got a dedicated that was a P4 with 1024MB of RAM and for the hosting company that I am setting up, I am going to need another server not long after I start. Either that or upgrade it. Then again, both might happen.

Also it is budget restricting, then I would upgrade memory for the obivous reasons if you cant upgraede the processor.
