There was a DDOS attack against a dedicated box at about 9:00 AM this morning. A source IP was identified and blocked. The attack lasted about 25 minutes and the server owner was notified.

Aaah ok, and any news about the routing problems ?
Dont you have any kind of DOSS attack protection, I heard you can have a protection to this that handles DOSS attacks over multiple 100Mbit/s ?

Those are all myth's

there is no 100% solution for DDOS there are things which can be done to help but nothing is 100%

There's only so much you can do.. As Emmanuel said - no 100% solution, although there are always little things you can do.
