Anyone else noticed the high ping ?

Hello,

I noticed the ping is quite high somtimes, surpass having any network problems ?
250 ping now, normally 113 over here.
Not only on my server by the way, also pinged the site of surpass.
I tought with the addition of level3 the network could handel alot more.

i'm not having that problem on my server. my ping times are actually pretty fast... it might help if we knew what server you were on...

No it was not only on my dedicatad server, I also checked on the server were surpasshosting.com is on (72.29.68.127) he had the same ping as my server.

But it sure not all the time, but we have customers in europe so they will sure see it if the pings doubles when they acces a site.

I just checked the ping to both my own site and surpasshosting.com and got pretty much the same result from both sites. Not awesomely low, but a ping of 90-100 isnt bad at all...

High ping hasn't always to be a problem

surpass, could also be a routing problem to the datacenter

Ok, so I asked my question wrong thats true it is not always the problem off surpass, did the datacenter had any routing problems?

And about the ping, it is NOT all the time, but I was wondering what the problem was when the pings were high, I repeat the pings are high all the time

For instance today I noticed no high ping.

Maybe the admins off the forum have an answer on this one?

I have sometimes routing problems.
Since the move to Level3 the routing from the Netherlands to the Datacenter is sometimes very slow.

I too have been noticing high ping times from my server to my position here in Japan. Usually I have pings around 100 or faster. Yesterday they were up around 350, but tonight they are getting really slow; down to 650 at some points. This is only in the last few days. My server is 72.29.68.69

I have that problem too with my server 72.29.66.87 the connection is too slow
