Slow Server with MySQL Errors

I've been having some problems with my server. Since i moved onto it I've been getting MySQL errors "max_users_connected". Surpass has been good trying to help me out.

I was wondering if someone else could think of a reason. So far they've told me it seems like a problem with one of the running services. After they said they tweaked services and settings, I'm still getting the errors or painfully slow loading times.

My site, www.greendaycommunity.org doesn't even load right now. And usually when it does it's either slow or gives me a MySQL error.

Anyone had this problem or know of a possible solution?

I know there was a user on the board here who complained about his Invision Board forum running into this error before, and after reading through the forums over at IPB, it seems like it's either a problem with persistant connection being set to ON (in the server that is) or a problem with MySQL not dropping the connection like it should.

Yeah i sent in a ticket to support with Invision and they told me that it was a server issue. So i'm not really sure where to turn anymore.

Well i just found this thread on their forum

http://forums.invisionpower.com/inde...hl=MySQL+Error

Guess it could be an Invision problem.

Well, I know you can turn off persistant connections now. It's buried in the code somewhere, I think in init.php but I'm not sure now. That is, if you're using the most up to date version.

Which version of 2.1 are you running? I have 2.1.1 running and haven't had any trouble like this with it (of course, mine isn't used very regularly) and am about to start using 2.1.3 instead.

Probably a good idea. My 2.1.3 isn't active for users yet so I haven't run into this. Hopefully it will be solved soon.
