Thanks very much to everyone who has participated in this thread.

I am still not clear as to what is meant by 100% managed.

To me, this seems more like 100% managed support and I am not even sure what that means, especially after the time aspect of 30 minutes was added.

I feel at this point it is best for me to wait and watch and base my decision on the experiences of others willing to sign up for a VPS plan. I feel currently there is a lack of information available as to your VPS plans and what they entail and it feels as though these plans were rushed to market before you were truly ready to offer them. This seems further reinforced in that the plans cannot be ordered in the usual manner yet.

I think the concept of VPS hosting is an excellent one and I will be following this closely as more information and clarifications become available.

The term "100% managed" is misleading to say the least. Emmanuel says that Surpass will help with "anything and everything at no cost" but goes on to say that this isn't the case at all.

A simple policy would really help.

The excerpt below is from Surpass's dedicated server page. Fully managed VPS's shouldn't be significantly different.

Lets not forget to mention the other list of things you requested to be installed. This was not a simple please compile php5 to my server for x amount.

It was a list of things you wanted compiled which took time to do.

I certainly apologize for any confusions. At this time it is impossible to provide a list of things we will provide in the managed support.

We will leave it at we will help and support anything on the VPS server.

100% managed doesn't include custom installations.

As we get more feedback we will compile the list. For now there is no such list and I don't think any host has such a list.
