WHM Feature Curiosity
So it finally dawned on me the usefulness of text messaging my fone via e-mail. Then I recalled that WHM has a setting where you can add your pager address where you'll be notified for things.
What exactly will I be notified of? Has anyone used this feature in WHM?

![]() I had began to think about how I could utilize my cell phone text messaging in scripts, then I thought about the WHM feature, no point in coding something that's already set up to do what ya want. lol David, that's a good point. I suppose that's when you need to have a script on another machine set up to ping the server and e-mail you when the ping doesn't get any results.

Emailing your phone
I know I can email my phone directly by sending an email to :
(MYPHONENUMBER) mobile.mycingular.comI'm sure you can find this info for your provider. You can script thios address into anything that's able to send email. I use this address for my email in WebCalendar (Fantstico script) and it sends me reminders. Be careful about the size of mailed messages! -p |

I believe so, but I think you have to enable it first. When I had verizon, they used vtext.com for text messaging
