CPU?

I have an account at Surpass's Servers and at my own dedicated server.

When i check the Service Status at Surpass's it has something like

Server Load 0.12 (4 cpu)

When i check the Service Status at my own server:

Server Load 0.27 (1 cpu)

~~~~~
CPU is the processing center where all the main stuff occurs, right? Can anyone just clarify what exactly the CPU is? What it's advantage? and what does it cost to have extra CPU on my server?
CPU.. processor.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_processing_unit
The shared and reseller servers come with 2 CPUs because they are needed to cover the massive load that is hosting 150+ websites on a single machine.
But you're not doing that; you're doing less. Therefore your server only has 1 CPU. If you needed more than one, you could get a fancier (and more expensive) server.
CPU - central processing unit.
The surpass servers have dual xeons from what I've read, so that's why they have 4 cpus, you probably have a Pentium or a Celeron correct?
If you upgrade to the Xeon then you'd have 4 as well. The extra cost is the difference in the monthly payments for your current machine and for the xeon machine. The advantage is more processing can be done. More operations can be performed at once.
Dual Xeons on the old servers. Dual dual core Opterons on the new servers. The opterons have 4 actual processors; the Xeons only have 2.
