Munin : Nice Site Graphs : VPS/Dedi

For Dedicated or VPS customers:

In your WHM > cPanel > Addon Modules you will find a new add-on at the bottom called Munin. You might be interested in installing it. It is a nice graph based monitoring tool that monitors all sorts of goodies like cpu load, memory load, swap load, mailman usage, exim load, over a period of day, week, month, year.

This is a live demo:
http://munin.ping.uio.no

A screenshot is attached of how to reach the install area.

Same. I installed it a few hours ago after I read about it on CPanel's forum. I don't use CPaddons much but figured to give it a shot.

I'm pulling it from mine. I just noticed the server load spike and it was apparently from it. Plus there are others talking about it raising the load on their own servers. (you need a http://www.forums.cpanel.net accout to read that thread I liked to)

The www link comes up not found for me but this works for me if others get the same. http://forums.cpanel.net

How much of a spike did you see David and for how long? So far mine seems to be behaving. Knock on wood.

Weird. It's coming up fine for me. I had to turn PeerGuardian off though. I noticed it as it was coming down and was around 1.20+, but anyting throwing my server into the red isn't something I want to play with.

I guess it would depend on what all you have going on with the server setup too. Types of scripts, site activity and such.

This is rather kewl. I like it.
