Dedi + Email Question + PHPsuexec

Hi guys hope your all ok, have been setting up and testing a script for a client and have been having a few problems, firstly i apparently have phpsuexec installed, well the helpdesk said they did, however I still have to chmod one folder to 777 for it to be able to allow the upload of images, i though 755 was only a requirement but this doesn't work.

Secondly when email is sent from the script, the header of the email says this:
From: Nobody [nobodymyserver.com]; on behalf of; Persons [persontheredomain.net]

Now this means that every customer that gets an email from them gets my server address but i dont want this as its not professional for them and may put them off, is there anything I can do, I appreciate all your help in advance.

Well, From my understanding, if you are running phpsuexec then email is not sent as Nobody

However i dont run phpsuexec and i dont have that issue

so perhaps that is a result of a misconfiguration with phpsuexec somewhere that it is informing you it is sending as Nobody?

As for the chmodding, you need to check the script itself. Some of them look specificly for 777. Cubecart looks for 644 of it's config file, and if it's set any lower or higher than it doesn't work. I changed the script so it will accept 444 instead.

ive given up and had phpsuexec uninstalled but still doesnt look like that was causing the problem which is annoying, for some reason the script doesnt like gmail other accounts work though, i found out i had to turn a setting off in whm to stop the nobody bit.

The gmail bounce email i get, i wonder if any of you can shed some light on the issue

unroutable messages are returned by the firewall or mail server on your Dedi. Support needs to look into it, really.

Might be helpful to point to the thread if you need to reply to the ticket again. maybe something someone mentions in the thread could be helpful for who ever is working the tickets in support.
