SSL Certificate Question

I noticed in whm that you can require all logins to whm, cpanel, webmail require ssl, is this a good idea? how would I go about sorting it out, I obviously would buy a certificate from somewhere, then would it be installed onto the server?

Would it also apply for the main domain as well or can it only apply for the server.

Thanks guys.

It's a good idea if you want a security of 128 bit SSL.
You can buy cerificates from Surpass.

I belive that you need one certifacte for every domain but I'm not sure.

If you think you may need it get it if not don't bother till the need arises. But won't hurt anything though just having it there.
