Post Advice re: mailing lists software etc.

we currently use 12All mailing list software which isn't free software.. but have been getting complaints that emails aren't being received by subscribed members.

test emails are always received..

but although i'm a member of the subscribed list, i haven't received any emails from the eflyers either, and i must point out that i'm the person who created the eflyer and sent it aswell.

there are 26,162 subscribers on our mailing list. but not all are receiving their emails..

the 12All monitor says all emails have been sent, WHM exim mail queue says there is mail in queue, but this seems to be rather slow at sending the emails, if it actually sends them at all.

i have setup a cron job for every 30 mins to process the queue list from the 12all mail software , aswell as a cron job to process the bounces aswell.. but emails are still not being delivered.. is there anyway i can check exactly what emails have been sent and delivered? or is there a better way of setting up a more reliable mailing list that can cope with having to send out emails to a subscriber list of over 26,000 users efficiently?

or is there settings i can make on the server settings that can make this more reliable?

all users on the mailing list are subscribed users and all emails are sent in compliance with anti-spam laws etc.. but we need a more reliable way of delivering the newsletters & flyers..

have you looked at other mailing list available? it may be a software issue especially if your mail tests work ok.

Majordomo is a good mailing list

thanks emman

it seems there was a problem, but it resolved itself for some reason, it wouldn't change from using mail() to smtp method for some reason. everytime i changed it to smtp it kept resetting itself back to mail() the next time the config was viewed..

the software is working fine now and people have reported back saying they received the emails etc.. the stats for the emails are coming in niceley with lots of reads and link clicks
