Recommendation?
I'm looking to go dedicated but I honestly do not know what CPU is ideal for what I'm looking for and was wondering if someone could help me out
![]() So here are some important (I think) facts: My site relies heavily on MySQL and PHP. It's a community site with a little over 8k members. Also hosts 4 smaller scripts based on MySQL as well. Average of 35000 hits per day. Usually 20-100 visitors online at any given time. Uses about 700MB bandwidth per day. 100+ emails sent out each day by server. |

Server specs
Hi, we had exactly the same problem, not really knwoing what was best for us. We run 110 small-medium sized sites, sending approx 3000-4000 emails per day, running 20 or so MySQL databases. One site has heavy traffic and is 100% data driven. We settled on P4 3G CPU, 1GIG RAM, and just a few days in we are more than impressed with the performance, especially our mailouts. We can upgrade to 2GIG RAM if required, but things are looking good so far compared to the shared hosting environment. Hope this helps.
