VPS Problems ??

I recently asked Surpass to install JSP and tomcat on my server.

It didn't seem to work. I get an email, saying that java is working properly and is installed.

but going here:

http://ricebox.whiteazn.com/jsp/test.jsp

i dont think it is working ?

not only that, they also tell me in the email:

Also we could see that the fail-counts for the resources in this VPS is high. This means you are exceeding the resource limitation allotted to you, as seen from below:

So you may either need to upgrade the resources allotted to your VPS node or else switch to a more powerful and efficient dedicated server. This option will make use resource usage more optimized. Please let us know your choice so that we can forward your request accordingly.
I don't know what is causing my high "fail count". considering, my website isnt even open to the public, so what is causing my VPS resources to go so high, is beyond me.

i would really like someone to look into this. if i am forced to move to a higher plan or dedicated server, I will just have to go to another hosting company (not a threat, but I Just don't understand how I am using up so much resources when the site isn't even live (so the site isn't getting many hits or what not). id like to know what exactly would be causing it.

Ticket #: LGW-378932

I would ask them to monitor your VPS and let you know what exactly is causing that. If they can no show proof it sounds like a over zealous attempt to make a sale to a larger plan.

I say that for when using such a generic basic reason that is what I would see being done. Give me a real reason with proof or back off ya know.

well, i dont know much about JSP, or Java, but I dont see any code in that page? so im assuming that something is parsing it? lol

as for upgrading, meh, i dont use VPS either, so lol, dunno, but if the site is not live yet, then the only reasonable explanations would be that the site is very inefficiently coded, or someone has gained access to your account and is running something else? dont know what resources youve been using though, so lol

the page for me, both at home and work, is the source code, both in IE and Fx

Code:
<html>
  <head>
    <title>My First JSP</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    Hello, world!
    <p/>
    2 + 2 is ${2 + 2} and 4 * 4 is ${4 * 4}
  </body>
</html>
and i know its not inefficiently code.

which is why i want someone to look into it to pinpoint exactly what it is. i think i have a couple ideas of what it might be, but i cannot be sure without some verification.

so, they tell me how to check the CPU/Memory Usage. How much are we alloted to use? is it calculated based on an average ? or is there a peek of usage, and we need to stay under that peak? and if so, what is that peak?

I checked the history for the past month or so (WHM ->Server Status -> CPU/Memory/MySQL Usage). and there is NOTHING that seems out of the ordinary. In fact, some days are 0%. average day is around 1% or so. I think the MAX I saw was 6%, and anytime the percentage was high, it looked to do with the server, (looked like backup, stuff with CPanel, etc).

not happy with the support team trying to tell me i'm using up all the resources.

jaeSun I would request that they monitor your VPS for a few days to see just what is causing this.

If mine started to act up again that is what I was going to request but it has been behaving so far since my last ticket for the most part.

But it seems several of us have seen this and on different VPS servers so I think there is a legitimate issue going on behind the curtain some place.

I just hope what ever it is stays away from me. For if I get another lame replies from support like I was getting I don't think I would bite my lip another time.
