Thanks lonelydreamer -- a couple years ago I built a server to colo at servermatrix, but by the time I spent a month testing the software I had loaded on it before shipping, they had discontinued colocation Missied that opportunity by a month so am a bit wary this time round.

Our colo packages are still available, and aren't going anywhere.

I just don't think any active forum members have colo.

I'm interested to see the "build buy colo" packages that could be a really good way to go...

Hope some of the experienced, seasoned Surpass veterans give colo a try and post a review this year It could be a nice option if you've built or have a spare powerful server.

i guess i am the first to step up on the colo box. it is in the process and should be at the datacentre next week. i at least think i am doing the right thing.i have a dedi that was running on 512 mgs of ram that i bought in the jun/06 sale. i was back and forth with support about upgrading my existing server and when it came down to it, to upgrade the ram alone to the 2 gig im getting would have either been another 75 a month or 450 dollars outright. So i figured id lay out the cash ahead of time and it makes for a longer term savings really. Anyways .. onto the next adventure in reselling.

I have a colo box:
21:55:23 up 124 days, 4:56, 9 users, load average: 2.11, 2.04, 2.01

124 days online, and no problems whatsoever.
